"The imperishable crown"

Recently God spoke powerfully to me through a couple of visions.

1st Vision:
I saw a company of people running a race. Their faces shone like the sun. As I gazed upon them, I had a strong sense of Gods presence. It was so powerful. Then the Lord let me feel the hearts of these people. Their hearts were full of peace and joy. Then, the scene suddenly changed to the second vision.

2nd Vision
I saw a second company of people who were also running a race. This group of people was a little different from the first one. They were always looking around them as they ran. They looked to their left and to their right, as well as, behind them. They ran swiftly, and most of them were smiling. Then the Lord let me see their hearts. I did not feel their emotions at first, but then I felt an intense pain in them. As I looked, I could see their hearts were bleeding.

I asked God "who are these people?" Immediately, 1 Cor 9:24-25 was impressed upon my heart.

1 Cor 9:24-25 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.

Then God spoke to me: "The first company of people you saw was running the race for the imperishable crown. They accept and experience My unconditional love daily. They love Me with all of their heart, mind, soul, and strength. They understand that they are sons and daughters and not orphans. They live a lifestyle of loving selflessly, seeking meekness, thirsting and hungering for righteousness, and are poor in spirit. They have an understanding of their eternal inheritance. They relate to Me with the same intimacy with which My Son Jesus relates to Me."

"The second group you saw is running the race for the perishable crown -- the crown that man can give them. While they smile on the outside, they really hurt on the inside. They compete with each other and live striving for mans acceptance. They are not orphans but they have an orphan mentality. Not believing that they have the promised inheritance, they fight for all they can get in this life.
Men crown them often, but every crown that man crowns them with only decays. There is no eternal significance. I love them with everlasting love. I long to spend time with them. I want to heal their hearts, but they are running so hard for the perishable reward that they do not make time to spend time with Me and receive my love, kindness, and acceptance towards them."

He continued to speak to me, saying, "I'm raising up a company of people in the nations of the earth that will not run the race for the perishable crown but for the imperishable crown, the one that will last forever. I'm the One who gives the crown that does not fade."

Right after that I felt led to look up the rewards that were given to those who overcome in the seven churches of Revelation. These rewards are imperishable. They can never decay. Below is a list of these seven churches, along with the rewards due to those in these churches who overcome:

Ephesus- the tree of life
Smyrna- the crown of life
Pergamos- hidden manna, and stone with a new name
Thyatira- rule over nations, and receive morning star
Sardis- faithful, honored, and clothed in white
Philadelphia -a place in God's presence, a new name and the New Jerusalem
Laodicea- share Christ's throne

All the rewards are imperishable -- rewards that will never decay!

Then Paul says this in 1 Cor 9:26: Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty.
Uncertain runners run without a vision of the reward. They cannot envision the finish line. Those who run with certainty, on the other hand, hold a picture of eternity in their hearts. Can you imagine what it would be like if the entire body of Christ ran their race with certainty? If our minds and hearts were set on the reward that is imperishable, we would live with steadfast focus in this life, rejecting the lust of the flesh and the spirit of this age. What would it be like if the whole body of Christ were to live in obedience, faithful to the voice of God, embracing the lifestyle of the Sermon on the Mount, loving selflessly, praying without ceasing, giving freely, seeking meekness, fasting, blessing those who persecute us, turning the other check, humbling ourselves .... This is a passionate dream of God's heart!

Prayer:
Lord, I pray that You draw us out of the temporal into a revelation of what is eternal. I pray that the eternity that You have written on our hearts will shout to our consciousness. Help us, God, to live our lives in obedience and faithfulness to You all the days of our lives. Lord, I pray that we will experience Your love in the highest measure, that we will know Your burning passion towards us. Thank you Jesus for your love for us.

THE CALL BRAZIL 2008

A Holy prescription
When it seems that there is no hope for a nation, God still has His holy prescription.

In fact, God’s remedy for desperate times has always been the same – “if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked way, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and I will heal their land (2 Chron. 7:14).”

Joel said that in times of national crisis and moral collapse, the response of God’s people should be a solemn assembly of united fasting and prayer – Joel 2, verses 12-13, 15-16, 18 & 28:

“…Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and nursing babes; let the bridegroom go out from His chamber, and the bride from her dressing room...And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions."

At the beginning of 2007, God spoke to us that He was opening the heavens over Brazil.

Like Daniel, when we heard the prophecy, we humbled ourselves in fasting and prayer to align ourselves with His will for the nation (Daniel 9:2-3). We called for a Solemn Assembly in Sao Paulo in August 18th, 2007.

Thousands of people showed up that day to do nothing but fast, pray, and seek the face of God. We all felt that a radical shift took place in the nation that day.

But we want more! We will not be content until the whole nation is turned to God. In order for this to happen, God is showing us that He is opening more doors of repentance in the nation.

So in 2008, thousands more will stand in one accord in city after city - all across Brazil - in the spirit of Joel 2 to fast, pray, and repent to see the nation fully turned back to God.

Come believe with us that a holy violence will hit Brazil. We will not stop contending until His glory comes. We want to see a move of God so big that it moves beyond revival (the salvation of souls) into a lifestyle of reformation– the shifting of every sphere of society (morality, education, business, government, family) to the will of God.

“This is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob.” Psalm 24:6. Let it be said of us that we were the generation who sought His face and brought a nation to His feet. Come
and cry out to Him together with us.

Hi everyone,

Bellow is an aricle from Elijah List about Davy Maia.
Davy ministers with us in Brazill, he is a worshipper with fire in his soul.
De uma olhada no video dele no youtube. You will be blessed!

From Obscurity to Global Impact via YouTube, Brazilian Saxophonist Moves Worshipers to Tears

Watching this for the first time not only sent chills up my spine, it moved me to tears
As a worshiper and musician, I realize that stylistically, worship music can be subjective. Some Christians love contemporary music, while others are more comfortable with traditional hymns. Ultimately, however, it all boils down to expressing our love to our Lord, does it not?
That said, I'd like to introduce our readers to Brazilian worship leader Davy Maia. I was introduced to him myself only last week...via a video feed on a large screen at our church. Prior to viewing the video, I had heard of Davy from a team who had just returned from Brazil on a mission trip. They couldn't say enough about the incredibly powerful move of the Holy Spirit that followed this man's gifting as he played his saxophone, both on stage and as he moved among the prostrate crowd, ministering to them on his instrument.
By clicking on the link provided below, you will be able to hear Davy play Shout to the Lord on his saxophone. (Note: Fast-forward through the first 2-3 minutes of the tape where he is speaking in Portuguese. Listening with headphones will improve the sound.)
Regardless of your personal preference in worship styles, there is no denying the passion for Christ that literally drives this musician to give his all on his instrument. Watching this for the first time not only sent chills up my spine, it moved me to tears. Granted I saw this on a large screen and through a great P.A. system, but the Holy Spirit isn't limited by such trifles.
What a marvelous God we have, Who ministers to us through brothers and sisters around the world we haven't ever met! Enjoy....

BRAZIL!!!!!!

A MASSIVE CALL TO PRAYER & FASTING FROM NOW TILL AUGUST 18TH, 2007

“Blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and nursing babes; let the bridegroom go out from His chamber, and the bride from her dressing room.” (Joel 2:15-16)
“Then the Lord will be zealous for His land... And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” (Joel 2:18 & 28)

We are calling a Solemn Assembly for the nation of Brazil to set ourselves apart with fasting, prayer and repentance in order to align our heart with His heart, our desires with His desires. We will humble ourselves and return to Him with all our hearts.

"Now, therefore," says the Lord, "Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. So rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.” (Joel 2:12,13)

As John the Baptist prepared the way for the Lord, we want to prepare the way in holiness, prayer and repentance for the great move of God that has been prophesied over this nation .We do not want a partial move- we are longing with the rest of creation for the full revelation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19).
We want a Holy violence to hit Brazil that will not stop contending until His Glory comes.

Come and cry out to Him together with us.

Venha e clame a Ele juntamente conosco.
